At this point last year I didn't imagine that half of the things that have happened in 2015 would have. I managed to actually complete one of my new years resolutions (I know, I'm shocked too) and whilst the year started off on a serious low, it's ending on a high and I couldn't be happier.
Were awful. One of my best friends lost his battle with cancer. I am glad to have known him, even if only for those years at university. The end of the year was awful for a number of reasons and in January I was struggling with some personal things, and following on from December, I ended up making myself stressed and that caused me to end up in hospital overnight very unwell. Then someone rolled back on to my car on a hill as he couldn't drive, so I needed a new bumper. Not the best start to the year...
It snowed. Love a bit of snow.
Included a lot more snow, an escape from the UK and seeing the Northern Lights (bucket list checked). I skiied, ate a lot of reindeer (sorry Rudolph) and became a musher for the day. Read my post on Yllas here!
I visited my first VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) at the Exxon Refinery in Fawley. A lovely day out of the office for me as I'm a huge ship geek! My Grandad turned 90, which is amazing! I also crashed my car thanks to a car ahead of me braking suddenly. So that was fun... April was a fairly busy month! Also, I'm not as bad a driver as it may appear!
I went to Bodypower, I started looking for a flat, put in an offer and started the process.
June and July.
Some of my family members were over from the US who I've not seen in years, so that was awesome! The ongoing mortgage saga continued...
I entered and completed Tough Mudder with my mum! Post Here - Tough Mudder was my new years resolution and I did it, so happy! So proud of my mum for completing this with me and we raided over £100 for Bone Cancer Research in memory of my friend.
September and October
I BOUGHT A FLAT #HOMEOWNER
Two of my best friends got married. Abz got married in the UK and I was on bridesmaid duty.
Megan got married in Seville and we all flew out.
Crazy couple of months but amazing.
DIY, DIY, DIY, wisdom tooth problems, DIY, pretending to attempt Christmas shopping...
Work has been busy, we had the best Christmas party. My blog is averaging around 300 views a day! Thank you, you lovely people. My Christmas shopping is done, and my cards have been written. Feeling very festive having my first Christmas in my own flat with my own tree. Happy. Now it's Christmas Eve and I'm still working (thankfully I adore my job) and drinking mulled wine.
Time to start thinking of some new resolutions!
