Football is a gentleman's game played by hooligans, and Rugby is a hooligans' game played by gentlemen
So, little known fact, I am a Bath Rugby supporter. I loathe football and would much rather watch a game where the players don't fake injuries and cry. Rugby is altogether more interesting to watch, more brutal and (in my own personal opinion) the fans are better.
Yesterday (Saturday) I went to see Bath play Toulon in the European Championship with my boyfriend, his parents, his sister, her partner and their friends (also Bath supporters). Bath are my closest rugby team, I grew up in Somerset and only moved to Hampshire a year ago, but my sporting allegiances will remain in the South West! It was a bit of a pride game for Bath, even if we had won we'd not have won the group, but there we go. I won't go on and bore you with rugby chat, but I will share a few photo's. The rugby fans amongst you will be able to spot Nonu and his very obvious hairstyle from a mile off!
Bath lost, which I sort of expected, we're not playing amazingly well this season, but it was a great game nonetheless. I adore Bath, it's such a gorgeous city, and in the evening it's even more beautiful. If I could live there, I would! One day...
I won't bore anyone for too long, I just thought a post about the rugby would be a little different and I wanted to share some photo's of this beautiful city,
Have you ever been to Bath? Do you support a rugby team?
