Firstly, although the box was pretty, the only real link to Pinterest was the four postcards inside the box. Cute, but not mind blowing or overly exciting.
Caudalie Fleur de Vigne Shower Gel_ - I love the packaging of this, and it's a lovely sample size. It smells absolutely gorgeous and I was really excited to try it (being the goo hoarder that I am) but I was disappointed. It didn't foam at all, I used a reasonable amount of it and put it on my shower sponge (no idea what the technical term is) and even that wasn't enough to make it lather nicely.
Benefit They're Real! Tinted Lash Primer - This one I was excited about, I wanted to try a lash primer for a while (see my January wishlist here) and I love Benefit products. Not really sure why it needed to be tinted as the They're Real! Mascara is very dark and usually sufficient. Still, it made my lashes look a bit thicker and separated them nicely.
PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Moisturizing & Repairing Shampoo - I had high hopes for this one too, as I have fairly fine, dry hair that's needs all the moisturising it can get! It took almost the entire sample to get it to lather. It smells lovely, and my hair is quite soft, but looks preeeeetty flat. As a bonus product I had a sample of the conditioner, which I can rave about as it was superb!
Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner - Black - This was fairly good, it lasted a long time, was fairly precise and actually a good overall product. Probably wouldn't buy again as I prefer a smaller nib, but not too shabby.
Absolution L'eau Soir et Matin - Did not get on with this at all. Firstly, it smells like chemicals/paint remover/nail varnish remover/insert equally awful scent here. Secondly, it burns my skin as I'm a sensitive soul and my face is a bit pink because of it today. Very harsh, very drying. Thirdly, it just wasn't a great product. Considering the RRP is £27, I expected a lot more from it and it just went straight in the bin.
Birchbox #No Filter Mirror - I have hundreds of these little pocket sized mirrors, and this one could have had something a little more exciting on it. It's something you could get from a Christmas cracker, and I definitely wouldn't shell out £4 for it.
