Ok, no it's not that kind of ParkLife.
I was contacted a couple of days ago about getting involved with Southampton’s 2016 ParkLives programme from Coca-Cola Great Britain, in partnership with ActiveNation. I'd not heard of it until then, but upon looking in to the event it's something I can 100% get behind! I think predominantly it's aimed at parents who are busy and need a good way to keep the family entertained for free (yes, for free!) in those often somewhat endless school holidays, but adults can get involved too!
There are activities such as tennis, sailing, SUP, yoga and badminton among others. This is not just limited to Southampton, there are events all over the country, mostly in major cities.
Pop your postcode in and see what activities are near you!

As you know, I am currently in training to climb Kilimanjaro, meaning lots of gym sessions and joining a running club. I know, I'm just as shocked as you..
My gym is a bodybuilding gym and I adore it, but I miss the classes on offer at my old gym, so after looking in to ParkLives and seeing the various options, I knew I'd have to take part in some. They are also free, as I said, so it's worth making the most of this as these classes can usually be around £6-7 a session from experience! More for SUP etc...
Tomorrow morning I'll be heading along to the Fit 'n' Fun Camp, a circuit style fitness class, down on Weston Shore. It mixes up my prep a bit and I'm a huge fan of training outside where possible.
Plus, I need to make the most of the good weather while it lasts!
As I said above, they're all free as well, so there's no excuse to not get out, get fit and enjoy this weather! :)
I'll write another post soon after having tried a few of the sessions. There are so many different options available that I think I'll be signing up to attend quite a few more!
